Paper Cities Kennel Club holds a dog fair at the Wausau Center Mall on a winter day every year. Club members and members of other regional dog clubs bring their AKC purebred dogs to the mall for the day. Several breeds of dogs are present, giving mall visitors a chance to meet the dogs in person and chat with their owners about the breeds. Also present are other non-profit dog-related organizations.
